Chelsea FC manager Jose Mourinho has a bit of a selection dilemma ahead of the teams trip to Selhurst Park on Saturday.
While the Portuguese manager has not officially ruled anyone out yet, as he is waiting to see how players responded to training and treatment today, but the list is long one. Diego Costa, Ramires, Andre Schurrle, Didier Drogba and John Obi Mikel are all on the injury list this week, and it’s unclear who will end up clear to play.
The Blues are 5 points clear at the top of the Premier League table without a defeat this season. With last years 1-0 loss at Selhurst Park being one of the matches that dented our title chances, Chelsea will not take this match lightly. Mourinho himself stated that in that match, Palace were the better side.
"‘It was one of those games where we lost and deserved to lose. I know why we lost so there was no lesson to be learnt, I accepted it in a normal way and it’s easy for me to analyse those kind of matches. We lost there last season because they were better than us in every aspect of the game.’- Chelsea FC manager Jose Mourinho"
With our new look attack and on our current run of form there should be very little reason to worry about another collapse like last season.
Chelsea FC Team News:
5 players doubtful, although those listed include the longstanding injuries to Ramires and Didier Drogba. Mikel, Schurrle and Diego Costa have come back banged up from international duty, however based on his track record this season for being listed as a doubt, Diego Costa will almost assuredly start and score a goal now. Following his knock against Arsenal, keeper Thibault Courtois was cleared to play for Belgium, so he should be back in net.
Predicted Chelsea FC Starting XI:
