Capital One Cup: Chelsea FC Travel To Shrewsbury Town

The FA League Cup or Capital One Cup is a special competition for Chelsea FC manager Jose Mourinho, who claimed the League Cup as his first trophy as manager at Chelsea FC in 2004/2005, and tonight the Blues will take on Shrewsbury Town to continue their League Cup campaign.

It will almost assuredly be a match with a lot of team rotation, given the divide between the two clubs with Chelsea in the Premier League and Shrewsbury Town in League Two, which means a look for plenty of young players, including Kurt Zouma. That squad rotation will also come because of the long injury list Jose Mourinho must contend with.

However, Shrewsbury Town could be this years Bradford City, as they have beaten Leicester City, Norwich City and Blackpool, but they have yet to face a team of Chelsea’s stature, who remain unbeaten this season. Chelsea should be heavily favored to win this match, even on the road in an unfamiliar environment.

Chelsea FC Team News:
I honestly have no idea what the lineup will be for this match, coming so close after the end of the match at Old Trafford. André Schürrle, Mohamed Salah, Kurt Zouma, Nathan Aké, and John Obi Mikel were stated as being starters, the rest are up in the air. Ivanovic won’t play, as he is serving a 1 game suspension for a ridiculous dismissal against United. Cesar Azpilicueta is out as well, serving his 2nd of a 3 match ban.

Predicted Chelsea FC Starting XI:
———————-Cech——————–
—-Luis——Cahill——Zouma———Ake–
—————-Matic——–Mikel———–
—Willian———–Salah———–Schurrle—
———————-Drogba———————

Predicted Result:
Chelsea FC 4-0 Shrewsbury Town

I can’t see Chelsea not winning this match by less than 2 goals, and more likely many more. With the difference in skill level at all positions, I think Chelsea will run away with the match.
