Besiktas Joins Teams Lining Up For Petr Cech
Turkish side Besiktas look to be joining the list of teams lining up to sign Petr Cech in January. Besiktas has recently done business with Chelsea FC when they purchased striker Demba Ba for a reported £4 million and he has been an instant success in Istanbul. Other teams such as Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Monaco, and Paris Saint Germain have all been rumored to be interested in signing the Chelsea FC no. 2.
Petr Cech may be looking to move away from Chelsea FC after his long-term starting position was filled with a younger Thibaut Courtois after his loan spell at Atletico Madrid ended. Courtois has been fantastic at Chelsea despite struggling to maintain a clean sheet but none of the goals conceded have been attributed to him.

With Chelsea FC’s new partnership with Besiktas, it seems that the Turkish club would be the most likely in getting his signature in January if he does decide to leave. The move would also solve the problem of having Cech go to a Premier League or Champions League title rival this season or even the next. The one issue Besiktas may have is that Petr Cech is already cup tied for European competition this season, having played for Chelsea FC against NK Maribor..
Surely Jose Mourinho would like to get this problem figured out soon, so if Cech is going to leave he can be prepared to purchase a backup to Courtois in the beginning of the transfer window to ensure stability in the squad.
Not every club is as lucky as Chelsea to have two world class goalkeepers, and fans will surely be upset to see their beloved Petr Cech leave if that is indeed the case.
