Diego Costa Nominated For FIFA Puskas Award For Best Goal

Chelsea FC striker Diego Costa has been nominated for the FIFA Puskas Award for the best goal scored between October 3, 2013 and September 26, 2014. He was nominated for a bicycle kick he scored against La Liga rivals Getafe on November 23rd, 2013. Diego Costa is one of ten candidates for the Puskas Award and is joined by the likes of James Rodriguez, Tim Cahill, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The 2013 award was won by the Swedish front man and if you recall Nemanja Matic was one of the nominees for last year’s award.

"“It’s that time of year again, when you get to cast your vote for the FIFA Puskas Award. We have finished whittling the thousands of goals from around the world between 3 October 2013 and 26 September 2014 down to just ten. Now you have an even tougher challenge – choosing just one which you believe is worthy of succeeding Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s stunning effort that scooped the 2013 award. Find out on 1 December to see if it makes the final three.”Source: FIFA.com"

You can vote for the award here and we’re sure you will be voting for Chelsea FC’s main man even if he scored the goal for Atletico Madrid. Of course we hope that he is nominated for the 2015 award for a goal scored for Chelsea FC.

The candidates are:
Tim Cahill
Diego Costa
Marco Fabian
Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Pajtim Kasami
Steph Roche
James Rodriguez
Camilo Sanvezzo
