Chelsea FC is leading the pack in the hunt for the signing of 20 year old Brazilian sensation, Anderson Talisca. Talisca has come into this season, guns blazing, scoring 8 goals in 10 appearances for his current club Benfica in the Portuguese League. Starting off the season with a hat-trick, Talisca is showing that he has the goal scoring ability that Chelsea loves to see.
Reports were that Mourinho was hoping to sign the young star over the summer, and loan him out to Dutch side, Vitesse, who Chelsea have made a strong relationship with. The deal was never completed though because of work visa issues and instead he continued at Benfica this season.
Talisca has had such an impressive start to the season, that he has been called up to the Brazil squad for the international matches taking place this week. Reports also came out suggesting that Chelsea FC sent scouts to see the young striker score against and defeat AS Monaco in the Champions League a few weeks ago.
Many clubs are chasing Talisca as he is quickly becoming one of the top young prospects in European football. He is the latest in the assembly line of young talent that comes from Brazil and is developed by the Portuguese clubs like Sporting Lisbon, Benfica, and FC Porto. These clubs have made a killing by developing young South American talent and selling them off to the highest bidder in the other more high profile leagues in Europe.
In Talisca’s and Cheslea FC’s case they have a relationship having sold David Luiz, Ramires, and most recently Nemanja Matic to the Blues. That is yet another reason that it is looking very promising that Chelsea FC will be the ones to get the young star’s signature though when the time comes for him to decide his future or for Benfica to cash in on their prized asset.
