Chelsea FC Youngster Todd Kane Loaned To Bristol City FC
Chelsea FC youngster Todd Kane has been loaned to League One side Bristol City for two months until January 18th. Todd Kane was in the Chelsea FC U21 side so far this season even though many predicted that he would be loaned at the start of the season. This move of course is of the very temporary variety but perhaps it could be extended if the situation proves amicable for both clubs and of course for Kane as well.

Kane joined Chelsea as a school boy and has represented the club at all of the academy levels and won the 2011-12 FA Youth Cup. He was also on the bench for the 2012 Champions League Final but did not see the field. He did however see the top of the parade bus so that must have been a wonderful experience for the youngster. Kane spent the majority of the 2012-13 season and the entire 2013-14 season on loan at Blackburn Rovers where he made 41 appearances.
Statement from Bristol City’s official website on the loan move:
"The 21-year-old moves to Ashton Gate on a temporary basis until January 18th and goes straight into the squad for Saturday’s M4 derby at Swindon Town. Kane, a right-back by trade, is a product of the Chelsea Academy setup and has enjoyed previous loan spells with Preston North End and Blackburn Rovers. He actually enjoyed two spells at Ewood Park, spanning a season and a half, making 42 appearances and scoring twice. Kane – an England youth international – also won the FA Youth Cup with Chelsea in 2012. Huntingdon-born Kane is eligible to play in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, while the club will require permission from Chelsea at a later date to field the defender in the FA Cup.Source: BCFC.co.uk"
This is another positive move for Todd Kane as he gets another chance to prove himself in a competitive and physical league in League One. At just 21 years old he has plenty of time to develop and mature as a player and this move represents another step in that journey, hopefully to the Chelsea FC first team, for the youngster.
