Chelsea FC To Offer Nemanja Matic New And Improved Contract

Nemanja Matic has without a doubt been one of Chelsea FC’s best and most consistent performers in the last calender year. Playing nearly every match in the defensive end of the midfield, Matic has done a fantastic job of making the position and the entire midfield his own. The Serbian has been an absolute wall, keeping his starting spot guaranteed, and by the looks of things, increasing his salary.

Nemanja Matic has supposedly become a target for other top clubs in Europe such as Real Madrid. This of course is pure speculation but any club in Europe would be more than happy to have him in the squad. Due to this supposed interest from other clubs, but more likely because of his fantastic performances, Jose Mourinho is hoping to give Nemanja Matic a new and improved contract. Matic is currently signed for four more years but an increased salary will help keep the midfielder happy.

Jose Mourinho has shown multiple times that Nemanja Matic is one of his favorite players and that he really knows how important he is week in and week out. He has called him Chelsea’s best player which is remarkable considering the talent that he has around him. Players like Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas have been vital for the Blues in midfield but they have that freedom because of Matic’s presence. The Serbian will hopefully be signing a new contract with the Blues in the coming weeks and will call Stamford Bridge his home for many years to come.
