A+. A “monster” as described by Mourinho, Nemanja Matić has been Chelsea FC’s most consistent player with three goals and an unbelievable number of tackles. His relationship with Fàbregas is flourishing in what could be the most complete and destructive duo in the Premier League.. Defensive midfielder. Serbia. NEMANJA MATIć

Pivot/Central midfielder. Spain. CESC FàBREGAS. A-. 10 assists in 11 games speaks for itself. It took very little time for Cesc Fabregas to settle in the team. He is one of the key players and his telepathic-extraterrestrial relationship with Diego Costa is a big factor of the teams’ strength. His tiki-taka background has added a creative edge to the Blues’ passes, resulting in some sublime football at times (goals against Burnley or Crystal Palace are a perfect example).

B. Linked with many clubs over the summer on the back of an end of season rendered ugly by card suspensions. The addition of Fabregas alongside Matic has reduced his playing time, and his one-month-long injury didn’t help. He made his return on the right wing against Liverpool, and he’s been consistent throughout the game, making a very good back pass to Hazard who found a way to not score by shooting in Glen Johnson’s boot.  . Defensive Midfielder/ Right Midfielder. Brazil. RAMIRES

JOHN OBI MIKEL. C. Often used by Jose Mourinho late to close down the game, so far it it didn’t look a good strategy as the Blues lost four points in both Manchester stadiums.. Defensive Midfielder. Nigeria

Central Midfielder. England U-21. LEWIS BAKER. N/A. Was included on the bench at times but did not get to play
