Five Chelsea FC Players In ESPN FC’s Premier League Midseason XI
Snubs

Jedinak is a solid player but it is ridiculous to say that he has had a better season for his club than the Spaniard. The Crystal Palace midfielder has five goals and two assists for Crystal Palace while Fabregas has a respectable two goals and an absurd 12 assists in just 17 games. The choice is clear as to who would be the best compliment to Nemanja Matic but ESPN FC probably wanted to cause a bit of controversy.
Another player who could make the case for being snubbed is Branislav Ivanovic. The Serbian defender has been excellent in defense and going forward. He has scored twice in 18 matches and has done exceptionally well alongside Gary Cahill in defense. Nathaniel Clyne of Southampton was chosen ahead of Ivanovic and he is very much deserving of the honor.
