Diego Costa had his fair share of doubters when he first signed for the Blues this summer. Many dismissed him as a one year wonder for Atletico Madrid and others thought he was just not good enough for the Premier League. Well, 13 goals in just 15 games for the big striker is as good of an argument as we can think of. He has fit seamlessly in to the Chelsea FC side from the start and even scored on his Premier League debut against Burnley.

ESPN selected him because they had to and also because “Costa is the nasty, driven, brilliant striker for whom Chelsea have been crying out. There are plenty of stars in that side, but he completes them. Twelve goals in 14 league games despite a dodgy hamstring.” He is the blunt force that makes the creative players effective and he does so much for the Blues than simply score goals.
