Paul Pogba To Make Juventus Exit When “Time Is Right”

Paul Pogba is the top target for many of Europe’s best clubs, including Chelsea FC and Paris Saint Germain. Since signing for Juventus, Pogba has become an instant sensation, scoring phenomenal goals and being an all around powerhouse in the midfield. Chelsea are hoping to secure the services of the Frenchman even though he signed a contract extension in October with the Italian club. Despite the recent extension, Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola feels that Pogba may need to move on to a bigger challenge outside of Serie A.

"He can not stay still so much in Italy. It will depend from Juventus. We have renewed and we are happy, but when the time comes right we’ll take that chance. We will see, I do not know when the right time comes.”-Mino RaiolaSource: Mediaset via FourFourTwo"

It is hard to say how serious Raiola’s statements could be, and if they really lead to anything. Hopefully the right time though comes sooner rather than later, and Chelsea is on the receiving end of the deal. Pogba could fit perfectly into Chelsea’s playing style and could without a doubt make an immediate impact in our squad. Ideally he would slot in right next to another powerhouse midfielder in Nemanja Matic and use his strength and pace to bully opposing defenses. Pogba is also known for his stunning long range goals and his position as a deep lying midfielder for Chelsea would be perfect for that.

The question if Paul Pogba joins Chelsea is what would happen to Cesc Fabregas and Oscar. Fabregas is currently the deep playmaker next to Matic and he would likely be pushed forward by the introduction of Pogba in to the lineup. That would leave Jose Mourinho with the dilemma of having to choose between Oscar and his Spanish playmaker, which is an excellent problem to have.

To have players like Oscar, Fabregas, Ramires, Matic, Pogba, and John Obi Mikel all competing for the same four spots would give the Blues tremendous depth and versatility. Pogba is also just as capable of playing as the attacking midfielder but he is more of the box to box player in the mold of Yaya Toure or dare I say it, Michael Essien.

Chelsea fans are salivating over the prospect of having the young and dynamic player bossing the midfield alongside Nemanja Matic for the next 10 years and if Raiola has his way, it may happen sooner than later. The big stars rarely play in Serie A for very long anymore and we must hope that Pogba is not swayed at the prospect of playing in his hometown of Paris or his boyhood club Manchester United. He famously left Manchester United after being “disrespected” by Sir Alex Ferguson but the youngster insists he holds no grudge towards the club. He may not hate United but hopefully he is not too keen on donning the red and black kit once again.
