After losing the starting goalkeeper role to 22 year old Belgian Thibaut Courtois, Chelsea FC legend Petr Cech will be looking for a new side this summer transfer window. Cech has largely started matches on the bench, besides the occasional start, mostly during cup ties.

The Czech Republic international has enjoyed success at Stamford Bridge over the last decade after being brought in for £7 million in the summer of 2004. According to ESPN FC, throughout the 2014-2015 campaign, Cech has made only 5 Premier League appearances. In those appearances, he has accumulated 4 clean sheets.
In addition to the league appearances he has made 3 Champions League starts, 2 in the FA Cup, and 4 in the League Cup. His start against Tottenham in the League Cup Final saw him add another trophy to his CV. His CV may soon be called upon as Chelsea FC test the transfer waters of Europe.
Hopefully, if it is decided Cech has to leave, he stays as far away as possible from the Premier League. His form has not wavered at all, and despite Mourinho’s inconsistency with selecting Cech as the starting goalkeeper, he has still managed to keep his form.

Chelsea FC’s difficulty to score from open play should see the club cash in on Cech to add to the Abramovich-funded transfer war chest this summer. According to NBC Sports ,Douglas Costa, the Brazilian midfielder currently with Shakhtar Donestsk, is rumored to be making his way to SW6 this summer. He would provide help to Chelsea’s struggling offense.
The Blues offense is sputtering of late with draws against PSG and Southampton fresh in the minds of supporters. The root cause of this lack of goal scoring can be pointed in many directions, whether to the engine in the middle with Cesc Fabregas, or to the lack of runs and chances being created from the attacking midfielders, or even with lack of rest and growing fatigue in the side.

One option, however unlikely, could be in the form of Welshman Gareth Bale. The Daily Mail reports he could be made available as part of a buyout involving Petr Cech plus cash. The reported transfer fee would be no less than 100 million pounds plus the player’s pay of 300,000 pounds per week.
This fee is an astronomical amount of money which would require multiple salaries at Chelsea being offloaded. As unrealistic as this transfer would seem, it would truly make Chelsea FC an absolutely formidable force in the goal scoring department. Oscar and Willian provide a great deal of skill and possess the will to track back and defend, but the lack of goals from the duo leaves much to be desired.
Oscar has put together 6 goals over 23 games played in the EPL, and Willian has provided 2 goals from 27 league appearances. While they are quality players, these two need to be putting the ball in the back of the net. This summer, Mourinho will surely be splashing the cash on another goal scorer.
