Chelsea FC, The FA and Home Grown Players

How would this impact clubs?

Currently there are 5 teams in the Premier League who would have to replace a total of 20 players if this was to be implemented immediately, they are:

Manchester City would lose 6 players

Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal would lose 4 players each

Chelsea FC and Newcastle United would lose 3 players each

Out of those 20 players 7 are regarded as home grown under current regulations but they would lose their home grown status because of the lowering of the age limit, they are:

Gail Clichy and Dedryck Boyata from Manchester City

Wojciech Szczesny, Francis Coquelin and Damian Martinez from Arsenal

Cesc Fabregas from Chelsea FC

Tim Krul from Newcastle.
