Chelsea FC Defender Arrested On Suspicion Of Sexual Offense
By Lee Fraser
Chelsea FC defender Wallace has been arrested on suspicion of a sexual offence.
He was detained in Arnhem City Centre at 4am today (10th April 2015).
No further details have been released by the Dutch police at this moment in time except to confirm that Wallace had been detained pending further investigations. The Guardian newspaper quoted Paul Kotsier, a police spokesman as saying “We still don’t know what exactly happened, that must be found out during the investigation. We can’t make it more concrete than a suspicion of a sexual offence.”
Wallace or to give his full name, Wallace Oliviera Dos Santos was signed by Chelsea FC after breaking through and impressing in the Fluminense team in his homeland Brazil. He made his senior debut for Fluminense aged just 17. He is an attacking right wing back very much in the mold of Ashley Cole.
Chelsea FC signed Wallace in December 2012 but allowed him to stay with his host club for the remainder of the season.
He made his debut in a pre season friendly in July 2013 v Singha All Stars for Chelsea FC, winning the penalty that Lukaku converted to score the only goal of the game.
In August 2013 Wallace was loaned to Internazionale on a season long loan. Unfortunately for him that didn’t result in much playing time, only 4 appearances and 3 of those were as a substitute.

Due to continuing problems with a work permit, a situation that still exists, he was loaned out again this season to Vitesse, Chelsea FC’s partnership club in Holland.
Wallace, 20, has been fined by Vitesse because he was out late at night less than 48 hours before their next match as per the club’s disciplinary code and has been dropped from the squad for their weekend fixture.
Vitesse are also said to not be interested in renewing his loan for next season.
Whatever the outcome of the allegations and they are only allegations at the moment, it would appear that Wallace has not enjoyed his European adventure on the pitch!
UPDATE: Wallace has been released by authorities and they do not plan on pressing charges.
