Chelsea FC midfielder Oscar has been at the center of some transfer rumors and controversy the season. He has been linked to a number of clubs in Italy and in France. The most persistent rumor is that he will be part of a swap plus cash deal for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba. The rumors alternate between Oscar or his fellow Brazilian Ramires as part of that deal but more recently, because of a perceived drop in form, Oscar is the more persistent rumor.
Since making the move to Chelsea in 2012 from Brazilian club Internacioanal for £19 million, Oscar has been a midfield stalwart for the Blues. Jose Marino sold two time player of the year Juan Mata in order to give Oscar a more featured role in his lineup and he has been a constant ever since. Jose gambled on Oscar success and for the most part he has one.
The fresh-faced Brazilian has become one of the most important players in the Brazilian national team apart from Neymar and Thiago Silva. He has yet to experience the same success in a Chelsea FC shirt but that could be due more to the restrictions placed on him under Mourinho. He is not expected to contribute nearly as much defensively for the Seleccao as he is for the Blues.
Oscar spoke to The Telegraph about being happy at Chelsea FC:
"“I’m very happy here. I get along with everyone, and the club shows its praise towards me. Chelsea is one of the best clubs in the world, so I don’t see why I would think of leaving. I’m very happy with Chelsea’s season so far and happy with my own performance as well, but I do think I could have contributed more to the team. There are different tactics depending on the opponents we face, and we respect the manager’s choices. Sometimes I’ve ended up not playing the entire match, but I’m doing my best to fulfill my role. I’m happy with my performances.”"
If he is to be sold that it will certainly be against his will. As Oscar said, Chelsea FC is indeed one of the biggest clubs in the world and he is just starting to experience success here. So why would he push for a transfer when he is playing regularly, winning trophies, and is a starter on one of the best teams in the world?

The answer is the constantly turning rumor mill always needs another subject to cover. It would be very surprising if the Blues choose to sell one of the best young players in football and an international star if he is not actively pushing for a move and impacting the dressing room.
It is obvious that he is a very talented young player and the only thing holding him back from being great is a lack of consistency which is common with young players. He shined on the biggest stage in football at the World Cup and he will only continue to improve his game. If he is this good at 23 just imagine how much better he can be when he enters the prime of his career.
