The PFA has announced its candidates for PFA Player of the Year for the 2014-15 campaign, with the winner set to be announced on April 26. As revealed by the club’s official Twitter account, Diego Costa and Eden Hazard have made the shortlist for PFA Player of the Year, while Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois have been nominated for Young Player of the Year.
The fact that 4 of the 6 nominees for Player of the Year are also up for Young Player of the Year is a detriment to the rising stars that can currently be found in the Premier League. All of the nominees are well-deserving, and have contributed wholly to the success of their club. Many expect the winner to be a two-horse race between Harry Kane and Hazard, but for argument’s sake, we’ll run through the entire list of players.
