Arguably the best transfer of the Premier League, Alexis Sanchez has made an immediate impact on the club as they currently sit in second place instead of their usual occupying spot in fourth. Coming off of an excellent World Cup campaign with Chile, Wenger’s purchase of him was a real coup as it signaled that Arsenal are starting to attract the big names on the transfer market once again. His goal total of 14 is very impressive considering that he plays mainly on the wide areas.

However, like Costa, he has experienced a dip in form as only 5 of those 14 goals have come in 2015 after a dazzling start to the season. Early on, it seemed as though he was doing all the work by himself, but playing alongside Mesut Ozil and an in-form Giroud have helped to lighten his workload. Like the other candidates, he’ll get lots of votes based on reputation, but he shouldn’t win it this year.
