What a breathtaking match that was for Chelsea FC. After a difficult first 45 minutes that saw them struggle to keep the ball against a dogged Leicester city side, the Blues exploded to life in the second half.

Leicester City took advantage of some poor play by Nemanja Matic to strike Chelsea on the counter and they caught the Chelsea defense flat-footed. Thanks to the torrential rain,Cesar Azpilicueta slipped and allowed Jamie Vardy’s cross to find Marc Albrighton to give Leicester the lead. It was against the run of play but the match was full of end to end action up to that point.
As the famous Men In Blazers always say, perhaps Leicester scored too early. The Blues went into halftime down a goal and that allowed Jose Marino to rip into his players and readjust his tactics. After the match Mourinho was asked what he told his players and he replied that it was simply not fit for television and would just be a series of bleeps.
Whatever he said it clearly worked. The Blues came out on fire in the second half and the much-maligned Didier Drogba scored the equalizer. Chelsea probed and probed for a second and found it courtesy of Captain, Leader, Legend John Terry who followed a Kasper Schmeichel save to score his 64th professional goal. The third was a sumptuous strike by Ramires and the Blues we’re home free with all three points.
This match was vital for a number of reasons. With just six points needed in the last five matches the title was all but Chelsea FC’s. The pressure was on Leicester to get a result but the Blues showed their championship credentials by weathering the early storm and roaring back to win handily. With this win the Blues need just three more points to seal the title from their final four games.

Crystal Palace come to Stamford Bridge on Sunday and the occasion is set for the Blues to clinch the title at home in front of their adoring fans. The added bonus of clinching it on Sunday is that Liverpool will be forced to give Chelsea an honor guard as they are crowned champions.
Crystal Palace is a tough side and they have claimed some important wins but they have little to play for this weekend except to potentially spoil Chelsea’s party. If this was a young and inexperienced team then perhaps they could falter against Palace but Mourinho and the other leaders on the squad will keep everyone focused as they march towards the Premier League title.
