Chelsea FC’s Eden Hazard Triples Up

So the football world’s worst kept secret has been revealed.

It is now official, Eden Hazard and Jose Mourinho ARE the best in the Premier League.

In true Premier League chaotic style it was leaked early before the official announcement should have been made!

What with the FA’s inconsistencies and the referee errors this season it was bound to happen, the only surprising thing was who announced it early, the sponsors themselves!

In fairness though to Barclays the sponsors, I too would have been quite keen to be the first to release this news, and it was indeed brilliant news to wake up too at the start of our title winning celebrations this weekend.

Eden Hazard has achieved what was considered to be impossible by many at Chelsea FC, he has eclipsed Gianfranco Zola as the most skilful player to have graced the turf at Stamford Bridge.

And so it was quite fitting that Gianfranco Zola collected Eden’s latest trophy at the Football Writer’s Awards ceremony last night, as they recognised Eden as their Player Of The Year as well.

Eden Hazard has now deservedly completed the clean sweep of awards this season, from his peers with the Professional Players Association, the Football Writers Association, and now finally from the Premier League itself.

The question does have to be asked however, if Eden has been recognised as the player of the year why hasn’t he won a single award as player of the month? The same question can be asked of our other award winner today, Jose Mourinho.

Eden himself has maintained an exceptionally high standard throughout the season as his stats (provided by Squawka) prove, so maybe that’s the problem, the monthly awards are decided on “most improved” and not “consistently the best”?

Anyway, now is not the time to question, now is the time to celebrate, to celebrate the boring boring Chelsea FC that we all love. The boring boring Chelsea FC that has had an exceptional season on every level.

Chelsea FC – Premier League Champions.

Chelsea FC – Capital One Cup Winners

Chelsea Ladies FC – Currently Top of the FAWSL1

Chelsea Ladies FC – Finalists in the Women’s FA Cup (to be played Aug 1st)

Chelsea FC  Under19’s – Eufa Youth league Winners

Chelsea FC Under18’s – FA Youth Cup Winners

Eden Hazard – PFA Player Of The Year

Eden Hazard – FWA Player Of The Year

Eden Hazard – BPL Player Of The year

Jose Mourinho – BPL Manager Of The Year

Ji So Yun – PFA Women’s Player Of The Year.

Unfortunately I don’t think Eden Hazard will be doing too much celebrating with the Chelsea FC Family this weekend after having to undergo emergency surgery to have 3 wisdom teeth removed on Wednesday, but I for one hope to be able to raise an extra glass in honour of his achievements this season, and to wish him and Chelsea FC even more success next season.

The Ballon D’Or awaits
