Chelsea FC has been leagues ahead in terms of performance when compared to the other title challengers in England and they are deserving Premier League champions. Winning the league with 3 games to spare goes a long way towards explaning how dominant Chelsea have been in the league this season but the story does not end there.
While the Blues may have mathematically won the title with three games to go, they likely clinched it a few weeks prior in the match against Leicester City. Chelsea were not quite as dominant in other competitions this season but the goal every season is always to win the league first and everything else comes second.
