30 minutes in and Diego Costa appeared as if by magic on the touchline alongside the 4th official holding up King Didier’s number.
This was the cue for the longest substitution I’ve ever witnessed that didn’t produce a yellow card for time wasting!
Chelsea FC were somehow losing 1-0 and were taking off our striker, had Jose finally lost his marbles?
No, it was pre planned, even the referee and Dick Advocaat, the Sunderland manager were in on it, and it was designed to give our legendary main man Didier Drogba the farewell that all club legends deserve (hint hint Chelsea FC re Frank Lampard) and Stamford Bridge rose as one to honour Didier as he was chairlifted from the pitch by the whole Chelsea FC team.

This was emotional enough as it was but can you imagine the scenes if the substitution had been 10 minutes later and Didier had scored our penalty with his last kick of the game …………………
