If the goal against Aston Villa was a glimpse at the Torres of old, this goal against Hull City was a full-on stare. With Chelsea FC leading Hull 1-0 courtesy of an Eden Hazard goal, Torres picked the ball up near the halfway line.
He maintained possession and ran at the defender and challenged him one on one. It was a bit slower and more methodical than his runs in a Liverpool shirt but the end result was the same.
The Hull defender gave him more and more space until he reached the box, took a deft touch to create space and toe poked the ball past the Hull keeper at his near post. It was a smart finish at the end of an excellent run that sealed the three points for the Blues.
