There are now just 16 nations left in the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

8 teams have been eliminated in the group stages and their players are packing their bags to head home from Canada and back to their domestic leagues.

The ladies of Chelsea FC however are all staying as their nations continue the dream of becoming World Champions.

Last week I predicted that at least 4 of the 5 Chelsea Ladies FC players would be staying.

I thought that the English contingent of Claire Rafferty, Katie Chapman and Eniola Aluko would all be safe. I also thought that Hedvig Lindahl and Sweden would progress even if they finished 3rd in their group. I did however have doubts about Ji So Yun and the Korean Republic being able to make it through to the knockout stages.

All I can say is I’m sorry for doubting you Ji So Yun!

So now we know that all 5 of our players can’t go on holiday just yet let’s take a look at how far they could possibly go in this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup.
