Kenedy, Didier Drogba, Lucas Piazon: Chelsea FC Transfer Rumours July 14th
The football season may be over, but the transfer season is in full swing. It’s the fourteenth of the month, so let’s take a look at what transfer rumours concerning Chelsea FC are flying around the press this morning.
- Although this deal has been supposedly done for some time now, Kenedy has confirmed his move to Stamford Bridge on Snapchat, writes The Daily Star. In a way that increases my hatred of modern society, the Brazilian sent a photo of himself at Cobham via the app thus confirming his arrival at the Blues. Sigh.

- ‘Didier Drogba to the MLS’ rumours are surfacing again today, with The Daily Mail claiming that he is ‘on the verge’ of completing a deal. ‘He also has lucrative offers from the Middle East, but the 37-year-old is said to prefer a move to Major League Soccer.’
- Lucas Piazon has blasted Chelsea and demanded an exit, writes the The Express. In comments that probably should have come earlier from one of Chelsea’s loan legion, the youngster states that it is ‘a waste of time’ being at Stamford Bridge, and has supposedly handed in a transfer request.
- The Express also notes the continual link between Manchester City and ex-Blue Kevin de Bruyne. Man City may be readying a bid in the region of £35million to bring the forward to The Etihad.
- Victor Moses may receive much more first team football next season, according to The Telegraph. Stoke City have failed in their attempts to permanently make him a part of their squad and Mark Hughes has now suggested that it is because Mourinho wants him for the senior team. ‘Chelsea have taken a view on Victor and they would probably like to keep him.’

That’s the rumour round-up for the day. Bear in mind that these are indeed only rumours so take them with a pinch of salt. Furthermore, most of the sources are British tabloid papers which are notorious for making up random stories in order to give their journalists something to do. Nevertheless in a period starved of any proper football action, what do fans have left to do but speculate?
