The football season may be over, but the transfer season is in full swing. It’s the twenty-second of the month, so let’s take a look at what transfer rumours concerning Chelsea FC are flying around the press this morning.
- In his press conference ahead of tonight’s game against the New York Red Bulls, Jose Mourinho took another swipe at Everton regarding John Stones, writes The Evening Standard. The boss seemed incredibly frustrated with the Merseyside club, and aimed some severe sarcasm-loaded shots at them.
- Mourinho also stated that he expected Filipe Luis to be leaving the club soon, according to BBC Sport. “In this moment we need a left-back because I think we are selling Filipe Luis now or tomorrow.” This is not surprising as a deal has apparently already been done with Atletico Madrid.

- The Metro has more on the ongoing Pedro transfer saga. When I say more, I lie. The paper says that Chelsea are battling Manchester United for the forward and are set to bid the £21million that is his release clause. Nothing new at all, really.
- The same publication also carries quotes from Axel Witsel’s agent who confirms that talks have been held with Chelsea regarding a move to Stamford Bridge. “Chelsea? Here there have been some contacts.” This is sure to excite Blues fans everywhere.
- Lastly, Kenneth Omeruo has joined Turkish outfit Kasimpasa on loan, reports BBC Sport. The 21-year-old Nigerian will spend the entirety of next season in Turkey, as he seeks to continue his development.
