The 21-year-old Kane has risen up through the ranks at Stamford Bridge, having played for the Blues at numerous youth levels. The right-back has won the Premier Reserve League as well as the FA Youth Cup and has also captained the U21 side.
Kane has been farmed out several times before, and has played for Preston North End, Blackburn Rovers, Bristol City and Nottingham Forest. As a result, he has racked up 62 senior competitive appearances at his young age.
Now, he has been handed a new contract that will serve one of two functions: either secure him as a prospect for the future, or allow Chelsea to sell him for some value. He hasn’t been given a squad number for this season and rumours are that he will be joining another Dutch side in NEC Nijmegen for the 2015/16 campaign.

Solanke, on the other hand, is thought to have a brighter future in West London and will look to continue his development in the Eredivisie.
The striker has also climbed the ranks at Chelsea and already has two FA Youth Cups and a UEFA Youth League title in his trophy cabinet. He has also won the UEFA U17 European Championship with England while his individual accolades include being top scorer in both UEFA competitions, and being named as Chelsea’s Academy Player Of The Year last season.
At 17 years of age, Solanke has already debuted for Chelsea’s senior squad having come on as a substitute in the 6-0 Champions League win over NK Maribor.
With such promise and potential, the striker will hope to take advantage of his first ever loan spell and make an impact with Vitesse. This will (hopefully) be the first time that he is afforded regular playing time at a competitive level and no doubt Jose Mourinho and his coaching team will be keeping a close eye on his development.
With the Blues set to divert a large chunk of their funds into the redevelopment of Stamford Bridge, the club has invested heavily in youngsters and both Solanke and Kane may be expected to be a big part of Chelsea’s senior team in the years to come.
Go out and impress, fellas.
