The transfer season is in full swing, so let’s take a look at what transfer rumours concerning Chelsea FC are flying around the press this morning. Not much today…

  • The John Stones-to-Chelsea saga has taken quite a controversial turn in the last 24 hours. Everton boss Roberto Martinez has gone so far as to accuse the Blues of tapping up his young defender, writes The Guardian. Martinez has been quite annoyed by Jose Mourinho’s open attempts to court Stones, but it is comments made by John Terry that have led to this accusation. Who knows what will happen next?
  • As we covered late last night, Mohamed Salah’s unbelievably farcical transfer saga has come to an end. Salah has officially joined AS Roma, but only on loan. After Fiorentina threatened to take the Egyptian to court following his refusal to abide by terms in his loan deal with them, Salah finally has a resolved future. However, given that it is only a loan deal, this whole situation may well return next summer…
  • The Express reports that the Blues have made no progress in their pursuit of Abdul Baba Rahman. The left-back has been on the verge of signing for Chelsea for what seems like weeks now, but there still hasn’t been an official announcement by any party involved. Bertrand Traore may be used in the full-back role this Saturday.
  • Lastly, the club website has confirmed that Todd Kane will be shipped off to NEC Nijmegen for the entirety of the 2015/16 campaign. The youngster just recently signed a new deal that would see him contracted at Stamford Bridge for a further three seasons, and now has a destination sorted for next season.
