The transfer season is in full swing, so let’s take a look at what transfer rumours concerning Chelsea FC are flying around the press this morning.

Pedro

Reports have surfaced that Chelsea are looking to make a move for Pedro. The Blues have been infrequently linked with the Barcelona forward throughout the summer, and Manchester United took pole position in that race. However, given the club’s poor performances thus far Jose Mourinho will apparently try to hijack United’s bid and bring Pedro to Stamford Bridge.

John Stones

Chelsea have now had three bids rejected by Everton for John Stones. They initially bid £20million, then £26million, then £30million but have been rebuffed on all three offers. Toffees boss Roberto Martinez is thought to value the young defender at closer to £40million and will settle for no less. With this, the Blues will now hold off for a bit to see whether the 21-year-old hands in a transfer request. Needless to say, Chelsea desperately need this.

Alexandre Lacazette

Alexandre Lacazette is another player who has been on-off linked with Chelsea. However, it is now believed that the Blues are favourites to land his signature before the end of the transfer window. In fact, there are reports that club representatives have already held talks with the player and are putting together a bid for the striker. Lyon value Lacazette at £20m+ but Chelsea may sweeten a lower offer with the prospect of Loic Remy heading the other way.

"Starsport understands the Blues have held talks with the French club over a possible deal…Lacazette’s [sic] is valued at £21m, but Chelsea could drive that price down by throwing Loic Remy into the deal. – The Daily Star"
