After forcing Petr Cech out of goal and establishing himself as Chelsea’s number 1 last season, Courtois remains one of the best goalkeepers on the game. With David De Gea being upgraded to 86 as well, the two Premier League keepers are joint second best behind Manuel Neuer (90 rated).
Petr Cech, meanwhile, also makes the top 50 despite having limited playing time last season. Slotting in at 49th position with a rating of 85, the now-Arsenal man is only the fourth keeper that features on the list.
Courtois was a vital part of Chelsea’s league winning side, and fully deserves to keep last years rating. Standing at 6ft 6in, the Belgian is a huge presence between the sticks, and is unlikely to be beaten very much, meaning he should be one of your key players in this year’s edition.
