Chelsea FC’s Predicted XI Against Everton
Oscar and Diego Costa
Oscar has been struggling with a minor niggle but after missing the last three games because of it, he should be ready to return on the back of the international break. The Brazilian was great in the opening game of the season bagging himself a goal and will be a welcome return to the Blues line-up. Chelsea will hope to take advantage of Oscar’s consistently good first half of the season form.
His return is also why Willian may be pushed into the centre-midfield role. Oscar needs to be picked, but so does Willian, Pedro and Hazard. Out of the four Willian is probably the best suited for the central position and thus Mourinho may force him there and start Oscar in his more effective forward slot.
Diego Costa has been more talk than action in this campaign, but he has the potential to change matters in an instant. His aggressiveness, moaning and petulance are a truly important part of his game. It just means that he looks like a bit of a moron when he doesn’t score.
Nevertheless, the Spanish striker will be eager to hit the back of the net for the second time this season and Blues fans will be eager to see it. In all fairness, Costa hasn’t exactly been receiving great service but he is the type of player who can create scoring opportunities through his sheer power and brutality.
Saturday is a big game and Costa will need to turn up if Chelsea are to get the win.
I’ve had my say so it’s over to you. How do you reckon the Blues will line-up at the weekend?
