Chelsea FC host London rivals Arsenal on Saturday as the club look to capitalise on their 4-0 drubbing of Maccabi Tel-Aviv on Wednesday night. Jose Mourinho will be hoping that his team ride the confidence into this crunch meeting.

The Blues opened their 2015/16 Champions League campaign in convincing fashion as they thrashed Israeli outfit Maccabi 4-0 in a confidence-building performance.
Having lost three of their opening five games in the Premier League, Chelsea desperately needed a win under the lights of Stamford Bridge to steady the ship and instil some belief in the players. Abdul Baba Rahman and Ruben Loftus-Cheek were handed a start in a shaken up Blues line-up and inspired the team with a pair of very impressive performances. Established stars such as Cesc Fabregas also found form while Eden Hazard showed signs of his genuine ability.

Chelsea fans would be naive to think that the team are back in form, though, and the Blues management and players will certainly not fall into the trap either. Maccabi were in all truth a pretty awful side on the night and the West Londoners were able to run roughshod over the visitors.
Saturday’s fixture with Arsenal will be the true test of whether the 2014/15 double-winning Chelsea are back or whether Wednesday was just brief respite from serious problems.
