Goalkeeper And Defence

8.
Chelsea’s best player this season by far. Given that the club have conceded a shedload of goals, that means a lot. If it wasn’t for Begovic, the Blues could have easily found themselves three or four down at least. Nothing but sympathy for the former Stoke man; he must be wondering what he has got himself into.
. GK. Bosnia-Herzegovina. ASMIR BEGOVIC

RB. Serbia. BRANISLAV IVANOVIC. 2.
My good god. How does Ivanovic still get into the starting line-up? It is just unfathomable that he has played almost every week this season despite terrible performances that never show signs of improvement. Porto’s first goal came after Yacin Brahimi waltzed past him with incredible ease. Unbelievable. Just unbelievable.

5.
Cahill did very little that helped the team. He was also partly to blame for Porto’s second goal as neither him nor Ramires picked up Maicon. Sometimes he is just anonymous and that’s a good thing. He wasn’t anonymous and those calling for John Terry’s reinstatement won’t get any quieter after this display.
. CB. England. GARY CAHILL

6.
Zouma was the better of the two centre-halfs, but that’s not saying much. The Frenchman put in some good challenges, but he cannot be absolved of any blame for yet another crumbling defensive display from Chelsea.
. CB. France. KURT ZOUMA

6.
Azpilicueta was solid as usual on Tuesday night. He looked decent, but the overall defensive display prevents him for receiving a rating any higher than six.
. LB. Spain. CESAR AZPILICUETA
