Jose Mourinho Uses Bizarre Disguise In Scouting Mission
Jose Mourinho has lost the plot.
Chelsea FC boss Jose Mourinho took scouting to another level last night as he took in Ukraine’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Spain. In a bid to avoid prying eyes, the Portuguese tactician dressed up as a jedi.
Seriously, take a look for yourself.
While Chelsea players Cesar Azpilicueta, Cesc Fabregas and Pedro are part of the Spain squad, it is believed that the Blues boss was in attendance to watch Ukraine’s Andriy Yarmolenko. The 25-year-old has been on the radar of several top clubs across Europe with rumours of a Dynamo Kyev exit surfacing each summer.
Now into his ninth season with the reigning Ukrainian Premier League champions, the forward has scored over 100 goals in 274 competitive games for Dynamo, forging a reputation as one of the better strikers on the continent.
Evidently, Mourinho rates him highly enough to dress up like that bloke off Assassin’s Creed in order to watch one of his performances first-hand.
The Chelsea manager was accused of reaching insanity when he gave a seven-minute long response to a single question in an interview after the Southampton loss. This bizarre scouting tactic will do nothing to convince anyone otherwise.
Nevertheless, Mourinho’s desire to watch a potential signing comes as little surprise given the struggles of the squad so far this season. The team have been woeful in almost every department and they are in need of a near-lethal injection of adrenaline to get things back on track.
Up top, Diego Costa has been suspended for the last three Premier League games, but frankly his performances otherwise have been disappointing. Furthermore, his backup players in Radamel Falcao and Loic Remy have not fared much better either in the opportunities that they have received.

Consequently, Chelsea have been hindered by a blunt attack. That is not to say that the rest of the team are not to blame. The midfield have failed to supply the frontmen adequately while the likes of Eden Hazard and Pedro have not shown any creative prowess.
The Blues squad will hopefully return to Cobham reinvigorated by the international break, but no matter how the season pans out over the next couple of months Mourinho is likely to dip into the transfer market over the winter.
While Yarmolenko failed to make an impact on a game that Ukraine eventually lost 1-0, his arrival in January is likely to be one that would draw few complaints from the Stamford Bridge faithful.
