Chelsea FC Predicted XI Against Dynamo Kiev
The Champions League returns on Tuesday as Chelsea look to rack up consecutive wins.
Chelsea FC take on Dynamo Kiev on Tuesday evening as the UEFA Champions League rears its head for Matchday 3. With a victory over Maccabi Tel-Aviv and a loss against FC Porto, the Blues currently sit third in their group of four.
Jose Mourinho’s men have started the 2015/16 campaign in a well-documented atrocious fashion, winning just four of their competitive fixtures before the last international break. The only convincing performance came in European play, when the Blues demolished Maccabi Tel-Aviv to the tune of a four-goal margin.
However, the club then fell to Porto 2-1 with Mourinho’s homecoming being spoiled in the process. This was closely followed by a 3-1 loss at home against Southampton as the Blues were sent packing on their various international exploits in dire straits.
Fortunately, Chelsea were afforded arguably the easiest way to return to domestic action with a fixture against Aston Villa. Mourinho’s men comfortably negotiated the minor hurdle in a 2-0 victory and now travel to Ukraine in a slightly more optimistic mood.
With Porto and Dynamo sitting in the qualification spots, this fixture (and the return meeting in two weeks’ time) are essential six pointers as Chelsea look to progress through to the next stage.
