Let’s dissect Chelsea’s Champions League draw with Dynamo Kyiv

Tuesday marked a much better Chelsea FC performance than we have become accustomed to in recent times, but it ended in a futile goal-less draw nonetheless. And considering the fact that FC Porto collected all 3 points against the whipping boys of the group, Maccabi Tel Aviv, it still means that the Blues remain on course to qualify for the Europa League!

Jose Mourinho may blame the result on poor player performances, bad luck and shady officiating as he is always wont to do, but his constant obsession with playing not to lose away from home in the Champions League may just be the key issue that has continuously held the Blues back in its quest to lift the trophy under his watch (more on that later).
