Chelsea FC v Liverpool: Staff Picks!

Chelsea host the Reds in an unfathomably crucial clash.

Chelsea FC spend their lunch break going into battle against Liverpool today, as Jurgen Klopp squares off with Jose Mourinho in an enthralling tactical matchup. As is customary on an infrequent basis (haha), I’ve whipped around the proverbial Pride Of London office to bring you our *cough* experts’ predictions for the big game.

Next: Chelsea FC Host Liverpool: Predict The Line-Up

Khaled Abdallah: Chelsea 3-0 and it will be over by halftime. Diego Costa with a brace. Eden Hazard to break his duck. This will be Jose Mourinho’s response.

Joshua Sutter: I’ll give it a good ole 1-1 draw. Not sure why I keep denying what my eyes are seeing and picking Chelsea to win. I’ll give my eyes a chance as opposed to my heart and say it’ll end in a stalemate.

Ayushman Basu: Chelsea 2-1 Liverpool. Chelsea will edge it with a winner by Willian. Mourinho will not be sacked and I expect a sideline clash between the two most enigmatic managers in the Premier League.

Connor Tomko: 3-1 Chelsea. I feel oddly confident about Saturday. The signs of turning it around are there, and Mourinho and his men have picked the perfect time to do it. The fans are 1000 percent behind the team and they’ll give the squad the needed boost. The boys will be up for this one.

Lee Fraser: A good old fashioned 2-0 to a resurgent Blues, buoyed on by 40000+ fans chanting for Jose.

Daniel Childs: Chelsea 2-0 Liverpool. A passionate and crucial win helping out Mourinho and lifting the fanbase.

Neel Madhavan: 1-0 to Chelsea. A patented Mourinho “early goal, and park the bus for 70+ minutes.”

Marco Vonderheide: 2-1 to the Blues. Mourinho and Chelsea get back on track with a strong result at home. Hazard bounces back from the penalty miss at Stoke and has his best match of the season.

Andre Carlisle2-0 to the Blues. This assumes that Jose learnt from the game at Stoke that control isn’t something you can count on in matches anymore. We have the athletes to cause the chaos that creates chances. Unless Simon Mignolet decides to go as Jack Butland for Halloween, we won’t be that unlucky again.

Mark Treadwell: 1-1. Liverpool are still finding their feet under Klopp and this is a must-not-lose game for Jose. I fully expect this to be a tight, cagey affair, with both teams probing, without exposing their weak underbellies.

Gaurav Sardesai: 1-1 for me. It’ll be tougher than we think.

Joseph Williams: I’ll go 2-1 Chelsea, since it seems this year the Blues are more likely to win when I’m not able to watch as opposed to when I’m fully concentrated on the match.

As for me? I’m rolling with a 3-0 Chelsea win. Jurgen Klopp? Yeah. Liverpool? Nahhhhhh.

Here are the current standings. We get five points for a correct score, two for a correct result.
