Chelsea FC Need A Change
By Lee Fraser
Another weekend, another loss, but no chants of boring boring Chelsea.
Why aren’t opposition fans taunting Chelsea FC with taunts of “Same old Chelsea, always losing”?
Could it be (and I shudder at this thought) that they are actually pitying us?
Or could it be because they know form is temporary, and provided we hold our nerve we WILL be back kicking their proverbial asses again?
More from The Pride of London
- Bournemouth 0-0 Chelsea player ratings: Abysmal, reckless, wasteful
- Bournemouth 0-0 Chelsea: 3 Blues talking points
- Bournemouth vs Chelsea: 1 Blue Mauricio Pochettino should drop
- Bournemouth vs Chelsea: 3 Blues who must start
- Predicted Chelsea lineup vs Bournemouth: Palmer starts in 4-2-3-1
Whatever the reason for The Emirates-type silence, as fans of Chelsea FC we should be grateful. Instead of self-destructing with the blame game and analysis of what’s gone wrong, we should use this two week international break to think about how we can move forward and regain our place at the top end of English football.
There have been numerous discussions about how to move forward already, ranging from the obvious sack Jose Mourinho, to sack Roman Abramovich, to sack all the players, from Eva cursed us, right through to play the youngsters.
I’m not about to rubbish the above ideas because most of them have their merits but I will offer a brief rebuttal before offering up my own idea.
Sack Jose: and replace him with who? Another Rafa Benitez? Really??????
Sack Roman: have a word with yourself mate!!!!
Sack all the players: see above! I’m past pulling on the Royal Blue nowadays to replace them I’m afraid!
Eva: see above! You scared of the boogie man too?
Play the youngsters: whilst I also believe some of the youngsters deserve a chance, is this the right time to play them when the experienced players they would lean on during a match feel so short of confidence themselves? Also if Ruben Loftus-Cheek for example was thrown into a team that lacked belief and he had a poor game, would he be mentally strong enough to survive the abuse he would undoubtedly get or would it be a career ending moment for him?
OK, so I rubbished four of them, oops.
So, I’d better put forward my idea for getting out of this temporary loss of form then, so it too can be equally
rubbished
discussed.
