With Chelsea FC getting off to a poor start to the season, and continuing that poor form as we sit here in early November, there are sure to be plenty of rumors flying around. Is arguably the best player at the club, on his way out? Are the club looking to make a splash by signing a new forward ?
The latest to churn out of the rumor mill is the potential arrival of Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez. Reports from footmercato 365 and the Metro say that the Blues are keeping a watchful eye on him. They aren’t alone though, with other big clubs rumored to be keen on a January move says Will Giles.
"Manchester United are also understood to hold an interest in the player, with Arsenal also rumoured to be keen."
The winger has been an integral factor to the success of the club this season, scoring seven goals and adding four assists so far for the Foxes. While his performances have been good, there are two big questions that could prevent this transfer.

First, will Claudio Ranieri, as well as the decision makers at the club allow such an important player to leave? The club have gotten off to an unbelievable start, and surely won’t want to tinker with a winning formula. Nevertheless, money talks, and the Blues have plenty to through around. The asking price from Leicester would be the sticking point.
Second, where would he fit in on the pitch? The midfield, particularly the attacking midfield positions, are still arguably the most talent rich positions at the club. Jose Mourinho still has the likes of Eden Hazard, Oscar, Willian and Pedro at his disposal. Even Loic Remy can slide out to winger position if necessary.
The transfer would be an exciting one, but would it be a practical one? That’s for you, the fans to decide.
