Chelsea FC Loanee Marco Van Ginkel Wants Return
The Chelsea youngster is disappointed with the club’s form.
Chelsea FC midfielder Marco Van Ginkel has made clear his disappointment in seeing his parent club struggle through this undeniably rough period. The Dutchman is currently on loan at Stoke City where he is slated to spend the entirety of the 2015/16 campaign.
Speaking to the Blues’ official TV outlet, Chelsea TV, Van Ginkel discussed the affinity he still feels for the club and how the poor form has hurt him emotionally.
"Yes, I still support Chelsea, but now I am at Stoke. I feel disappointed with Chelsea’s recent results."

Van Ginkel joined the West Londoners in July 2013 to much fanfare and excitement. Unfortunately, his career at Stamford Bridge has yet to take off with the midfielder making just four competitive appearances in a blue shirt.
This lack of playing time was in part due to an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) problem that wrote off much of his first season. He was then sent off to AC Milan where injuries again interfered as he made just 18 competitive appearances in the season-long spell.
The prospect was shipped off once more this summer, but this time closer to home. The Britannia beckoned in a deal that undoubtedly facilitated the £8 million fee that Chelsea paid for Asmir Begovic. Fortunately, the grass has indeed been greener under Mark Hughes with the Potters boss affording him 10 Premier League appearances already.
With brighter lights on the horizon, Van Ginkel has set his sights on a Chelsea return as he seeks to help the club rebound from this (inevitably) poor season.

"My aims for the season? To be important for Stoke, to play a lot of games and to be prepared to return to Chelsea next season."
While his move to Stamford Bridge cannot be justifiably deemed a success so far, Van Ginkel has time on his hands. At the age of 22, there is no telling what the future holds for him with the Blues.
If Hughes continues to roll him out on a regular basis, the experience of Premier League playing time will certainly work in his favour. In fact, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek spending most of his time watching from the sidelines, it could even be said that Van Ginkel will be better positioned to play a role next season than the promising Englishman.

However, this will all depend on his progress over the next few months and whether he can fulfill the potential that the Chelsea brass saw in him two years ago. Staying injury free wouldn’t be a bad thing either.
