John Terry has shared a bizarre photo of him ‘chilling out’ after Chelsea FC’s victory over Norwich City.
The Blues managed to bag the 1-0 win over Alex Neil’s side on Saturday afternoon to kickstart this next period of domestic football. The Premier League had taken a backseat as internationals took place over the previous week, but club football is now set for an uninterrupted run into the New Year.
Chelsea had lost three league games in a row and they entered the Norwich clash in 16th position. Jose Mourinho and his charges were desperate for a win and win they did. The backline was decidedly more solid with John Terry sitting at the heart of it and the Englishman produced a crucial block to prevent the Canaries from getting a goal.
Justifiably, he has uploaded a picture to Instagram showing him relaxing in a jacuzzi with a nice espresso. Having said that, he doesn’t looked relaxed at all.
What’s going on there? To be fair to Terry, it has been absolutely freezing in these parts over the last couple of days so you cannot blame him for looking as rigid as a box. A read of his caption, meanwhile, helps you understand the true motives for the awkward snap.

"‘Jacuzzi and Double Espresso to start the day. Loving my @thomasroyall swim shorts. Now off to training then travelling to Israel to play our Champions league game against Maccabi Tel-Aviv.’"
I’m not sure about you but those shorts look distinctly ordinary.
Anyway, Terry has little time to relax as the Blues do have a tediously long journey to Israel awaiting. Despite some supposedly minor security concerns, Chelsea’s Champions League fixture with Maccabi Tel-Aviv is still scheduled to take place.
The Blues will need to be switched on as any travel fatigue will only be augmented by what is certain to be a raucous atmosphere.

A victory over the Israelis will guarantee them qualification from their group, but a loss will throw the proverbial cat among the pigeons.
Furthermore, given their well-documented struggles, a defeat at the hands of Maccabi will represent the two steps back after the step forward against Norwich.
Mourinho will be hoping that all the positives from Saturday’s game will be built upon on Tuesday night. Eden Hazard put in his best performance of the season against the Canaries, a display that reminded us why he was the unanimous Player of the Year last time out.

Terry, meanwhile, will look to be as rigid at the back as he is in this picture.
