After two consecutive wins on the back of the international break, the Blues will be hoping to capitalise on this minor momentum on Sunday. Given the club’s disastrous start to the season, more dropped points is simply catastrophic. Unfortunately, taking on Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane is no easy prospect.

Mauricio Pochettino is finally seeing the fruits of his labour in North London. He has moulded the team in his image and Spurs have not lost a Premier League game since an opening day defeat to Manchester United.

Mental.

Chelsea beat Norwich City last weekend to bring a three game skid to an end. Furthermore, they did so in a dominating fashion with the likes of Eden Hazard and Willian dictating the game.

However, any thoughts that the Blues were fully operational again were quashed when the club defeatd a 10-man Maccabi Tel-Aviv in unconvincing fashion, despite the 4-0 scoreline.

Nevertheless, a win is a win and that is all that anyone associated with Chelsea need right now.

Jose Mourinho will have to deal with a few injuries this weekend as a couple of his stars fell foul of the pitch on Tuesday night. John Terry was stretchered off and Ramires was injured in the warm-up as Mourinho placed the blame firmly on a pitch that was cutting up like no-one’s business.

Team selection will be crucial for what is a highly-anticipated game, so let’s take a crack at predicting the Chelsea starting eleven.
