14. Demba Ba vs Manchester United – 2012/13

Demba Ba certainly has a flair for the dramatic. After a riveting 2-2 draw against Manchester United which saw Chelsea FC come back from a 2-0 deficit in the second half, things were set up for a fantastic finish in the replay.

Just five minutes into the second period of a scoreless contest, Spanish midfielder Juan Mata received the ball near midfield. He took a turn, found himself in some space, and let fly a lofted ball over the heads of the Manchester United defense.

It looked as if it would be just out of the reach of Ba but he turned on the magic. He reached out with his Go-Go-Gadget legs and caught the ball with his right boot. It somehow looped into far corner, leaving David De Gea rooted to the spot.

It was a moment of magic in a tense and slightly dull affair. This was also yet another goal by the Senegalese hit-man where he found himself on the floor after scoring. He certainly had a knack for those too.
