Juande Ramos has emerged as the favourite to replace Chelsea FC boss Jose Mourinho. Twitter laughs.
The Times have claimed that ex-Tottenham Hotspur boss Juande Ramos is being considered as the potential interim Chelsea manager should the board sack Jose Mourinho. With this rumour being frankly ridiculous, Twitter naturally stepped up to take the p**s.

Juande Ramos to Chelsea would obviously be ridiculous, if they hold on just a few weeks they could get Rafa back...

Oct 2016: After just two points in 8 matches Harry Redknapp takes over, names Jamie as assistant.
If we sack Jose Mourinho and appoint Juande Ramos, I'm calling the police. Surely that's a crime?

More chelsea fc: Oh Chelsea We Love You! Jose Mourinho Sacking And Other Midweek Ramblings
This is the news that no-one associated with Chelsea FC wants to hear, not even those calling for Mourinho’s dismissal. Ramos was last seen leading Spurs to their worst ever start to a Premier League campaign. The 2008/09 season saw the North Londoners pick up six losses and two draws from their opening eight games, a run that resulted in his sacking.
However, with his reputation in Spain minimally impacted by this form, Ramos was soon installed as manager of Real Madrid, taking over from Bernd Schuster in December 2008. His contract was not renewed at the end of the campaign.
An awful 47-day-spell in charge of CSKA Moscow followed, before a fruitless year with Ukrainian outfit Dnipro.
While many UK fans may only remember how he ended his reign at White Hart Lane, Ramos has indeed tasted his fair share of success. He instilled some life into an underperforming Tottenham side and brought them their first trophy since 1999. That League Cup triumph in 2009 is also the last piece of silverware won by Spurs.

Before this, his time at Sevilla was incredibly successful. Back-to-back UEFA Cups (the Europa League in its previous guise) were won in 2006 and 2007 while a Copa Del Rey victory was also registered in the latter of those years.
With all this, the prospect of Ramos managing at Stamford Bridge seems less ridiculous. Having said that, no Chelsea fan will be excited by it.
The Spaniard is renowned for his strict coaching methods. Spurs players, especially after his departure, complained about the tyrannical control that he exerted over all aspects of their footballing lives, down to the food that they put into their bodies.
Given that this Chelsea squad seem to be doing whatever they want already, such an approach is unlikely to improve matters.

Meanwhile, other reports surfaced today stating that there will not be an emergency board meeting to discuss Mourinho’s future. Roman Abramovich has, of course, spoken at board level regarding the manager’s future, but everything is set to continue as normal through to the weekend.
Juande Ramos will just have to wait, I guess.
