Here’s Petr Cech Drumming Along To Christmas Carols For Charity
Yeah he doesn’t play for Chelsea FC anymore, but Petr Cech is still a top bloke.
With Christmas just around the corner (as if I needed another excuse to drink some more), the fellas across London at the Emirates Stadium put together a little clip for charity. It features ex-Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech drumming along with Santa Claus.
It’s great.

Christmas SoundCech? That name is genius as well.
Alexis Sanchez and Nacho Monreal, upon hearing the musical goodness emanating from the goalie’s inevitably massive hands, joined in the festive cheer.
Now, everyone associated with Chelsea FC hates Arsenal. However, you can put aside all differences for the next five minutes or so to appreciate this video and the cause for which it has been made. The Gooners have filmed it in a bid to raise awareness, and funds, for their Arsenal foundation.
I’m not one for judging or even caring about people’s views on charity/charitable actions, but do feel free to donate to the foundation, or indeed any of the numerous other organisations trying to do great work (including Chelsea’s very own).
There is no wonder that the Arsenal players are in good spirits, as they eye up what is arguably their most realistic opportunity to win the Premier League in some time. With the bulk of the traditional top clubs floundering, Arsenal sit in 2nd position behind Leicester City. Their 2-1 win over Manchester City on Monday night was deserved and Cech will be hoping that he can lead from the rear as they seek that title that has eluded the club for so long.
But enough about that, as it pains me to consider the prospect of Arsene Wenger lifting our crown in front of 60,000 smug Arsenal fans.
Cech, meanwhile, is an enthusiastic drummer. He has a YouTube channel, which some of you are undoubtedly aware of, on which he posts videos of him drumming along to various tracks. This a perfect opportunity to slide one of those into a post, so here’s Petr Cech covering a Nirvana classic: ‘In Bloom’.
