19. Eden Hazard: 2012-Present

Not since Frank Lampard in the mid-2000s have Chelsea FC had a player that could be included in the conversation of best player in the world. Things have taken a turn in the current season but it was not so long ago that Eden Hazard’s individual brilliance helped lead the Blues to a Premier League title.

Hazard is not the most prolific goalscorer but his mastery extends further than just his ability in front of the net. He is a supremely gifted footballer with world-class technique and ability who draws the attention of all 11 opposing players every time he touches the ball.

In his short time with the club he has accomplished a great deal, including winning the PFA Player of the Year last season and finding himself on the Ballon d’Or list of nominees in 2015. Despite being linked with moves to PSG and Real Madrid, Hazard has consistently reiterated his love for Chelsea FC and he has the potential to become the best player on this list.

At just 24 years of age, Hazard could conceivably play another eight years at a high level for Chelsea and make his way to the top. He is enduring a rough patch of form in his career at this moment but his talent and work ethic should see him through and on to greater things.
