With the winter transfer window open, let’s see what rumours regarding Chelsea FC are flying around the press on this fine Wednesday morning.

The January transfer window is now open, meaning that Premier League teams (and their European counterparts) are free to buy and sell players until the end of the month. Here at The Pride Of London we like to give you a daily round-up of all of the stories knocking about . Most of these are incredibly speculative, but we will pursue those with more grounding throughout the rest of the day. There are a few big ones doing the rounds today…

More chelsea fc: My Anger With The Chelsea FC Players Still Remains

Gareth Bale

While rumours of a Gareth Bale departure plagued last summer, the Welshman seemed to finally settle into the Satniago Bernabeu in the first half of this campaign. Bale was scoring goals and became an integral part of Rafa Benitez’s side. However, with the Real Madrid boss now replaced by Zinedine Zidane, it is believed that Bale may be available for the right money. Unfortunately, that fee could be comfortably into three figures. For the more speculative among us, Zidane’s interest in Eden Hazard may help the Blues.

Eden Hazard

Picking up on that speculation, Eden Hazard continues to be a transfer target for Real Madrid. With Zidane’s instalment, the club’s interest may translate into material bids given the manager’s strong admiration for the Belgian. Hazard could command a fee of around £100 million for his services and after a tumultuous few months at Stamford Bridge, there are many Chelsea fans out there who would happily see his back for that amount of money.

Axel Witsel – REPORT

Chelsea are to enter the race for Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Axel Witsel. The 26-year-old was linked with the Blues at points over the summer and the club’s interest has been reportedly renewed as they look to reinforce their midfield. Tottenham Hotspur are also believed to be keen on the player, which could pave the way for another Willian scenario.

Radamel Falcao

Chelsea’s third striker Radamel Falcao may be offered an escape route after an abominable season at Stamford Bridge. Falcao has barely stepped foot onto the turf for Chelsea and has been sidelined with injury for as long as I can remember. On the few occasions that he has been afforded minutes, he has showed little improvement from his Manchester United spell. Fortunately, MLS outfit Columbus Crew may come in and take him off Chelsea’s hands.

"Although Falcao’s injury means he is unlikely to move this month Chelsea could still get his £140,000-a-week wages off their wage bill as the MLS season does not begin until March, by which time he is likely to be fit. – The Mirror"
