Chelsea FC take on Scunthorpe United this weekend in a FA Cup tie. Will Guus Hiddink use this as an opportunity to afford the younger players some minutes?

Chelsea put in their most impressive performance of the season last weekend as they dismantled Crystal Palace 3-1 at Selhurst Park. This was the first time that the team appeared to play as a unit or with any palpable team spirit as they extended their unbeaten run to four games.

We shall leave for another day the debate of how relieved/angry the weekend’s performance made you feel (or check out our editorials here). For the moment, Guus Hiddink will be deliberating over his starting line-up for this Sunday’s fixture.

Many have been calling for the Dutchman to employ youth since taking over, which he has not done yet. Will he use this game against supposedly inferior opposition to give the youngsters a run out? Or will he field his theoretically strongest team as the competition represents Chelsea’s best shot at silverware.

Let’s try and predict this then.
