4. Hiddink Yet To Be Beat

Interim manager Guus Hiddink is still yet to be defeated since taking over from Jose Mourinho. The run of solid form has the Blues sitting a bit more comfortably in the league table, 13th on 29 points. While qualifying for Europe through the league will still be quite difficult, a top half finish is surely within their grasp.

The issue, though, is that he has failed to rack up many wins during this run. He has emerged victorious just five times in the ten fixtures that he has overseen (four in nine if you discount the Sunderland game), meaning that the Blues are more limping than climbing up the table.

As a result, they have only increased their breathing space to the relegation zone by a few points. The club’s performance may have improved in recent weeks, but their display against Watford was a throwback to the mediocrity that plagued the first half of their season.

Hopefully, this is just a blip and Chelsea will be able to kick on against Manchester United on Sunday. Speaking of which…
