Credible Sources Finally Report Talks Between Jose Mourinho And Manchester United
Ex-Chelsea FC boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly held talks with Manchester United regarding their managerial post, according to sources.
Ever since Jose Mourinho was relieved of his duties at Stamford Bridge rumours have been pairing him with a Manchester United switch. In fact, it has almost been taken as a given, with Louis Van Gaal’s ailing United team in dire need of a revamp.
Now, there is finally a report emerging from a credible source that claims that contact has indeed been made between the two parties. BBC Sport are the ones stating that negotiations have taken place, suggesting that United are close to reaching an agreement with the Special One.
"Manchester United have held talks with representatives of former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho…No agreement has been reached, and the club have made no comment, but negotiations have begun."

Following Manchester City’s announcement that Pep Guardiola will take over from Manuel Pellegrini at the end of the season, both United and Chelsea are believed to be keen to settle their managerial predicaments in the near future.
Reports in Italy have claimed that the Blues have reached an agreement with Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri that will see him come to Stamford Bridge. United are also evidently edging closer to sorting out their coaching line-up for the next campaign.
Van Gaal’s contract is set to expire at the culmination of the next season, but his team’s awful form and the hatred that he has drawn from the Old Trafford faithful mean that he is likely to take off this summer.

Many Blues fans will undoubtedly look upon this development with dread. United possess a shed-load of talent, but Van Gaal’s tactics have seen them creatively strangled and thus ineffective. Mourinho is a proven winner in multiple nations and he seemingly loves a big club-challenge.
As a result, there is a fear that he may lead the Red Devils back to the summit of English football while Chelsea flounder around somewhere further down the table.
However, doubts still remain over whether the Portuguese tactician will be successful at Old Trafford. For a club that have always preached a certain type of football (much to Van Gaal’s detriment), Mourinho brings a skillset that is optimised for the opposite.
Having said that, many will point to his attacking Real Madrid team as evidence of the football that he can play given the appropriate resources.
