Chelsea FC took advantage of a reeling Newcastle side, defeating them by a four goal margin 5-1. While the Blues were always favorites to win, considering some of the results they’ve suffered earlier in the season the Stamford Bridge crowd had the right to treat their optimism with caution during the opening stages of the game.

The Blues eased any tension by taking a three goal lead into halftime, and adding two more in the second half. Diego Costa continued his impressive form by scoring the first goal of the game. A double from Pedro, as well as goals from Willian and Bertrand Traore capped off an emphatic victory.
